Den anvendes ofte i madlavning, is\u00e6r i asiatiske retter som supper og drikkevarer. Et popul\u00e6rt eksempel er Tom Yum-suppen, hvor citrongr\u00e6s bidrager med en krydret og let syrlig note. Planten kan ogs\u00e5 bruges som smagsgiver i te og infusioner.<\/p>\n<h3>Dyrkning<\/h3>\n<p>Fr\u00f8ene kan s\u00e5s i overd\u00e6kkede bakker eller potter fra februar til marts. Da fr\u00f8ene er sm\u00e5, trykkes de forsigtigt ned i jorden, men d\u00e6kkes ikke. Spiring finder normalt sted efter cirka 3 til 4 uger ved en temperatur p\u00e5 20-25 \u00b0C. N\u00e5r kimplanterne har vokset sig st\u00e6rke, kan de omplantes i st\u00f8rre potter.
